Find the Hidden Apps Folder

Look in App Library's Hidden folder and authenticate to inspect eligible apps you previously hid.

Reviewed 2026-10-31 · 4,500 app labels in the database

At a glance

  • Where: App Library → Hidden → device authentication
  • Changes: Finding an app hidden with the supported app-hiding control
  • Limits: An app missing from the Home Screen may simply be in App Library or on a hidden page. That is different from deleting it.

Steps

  1. Swipe past your Home Screen pages to reach App Library.
  2. Locate Hidden and use the offered device authentication to open it.
  3. To unhide an eligible app, touch and hold its icon and use Don't Require Face ID or the equivalent action offered by your device.

Check the result

Confirm the app returns to App Library. Review Photos and any app exports independently if your concern is private pictures rather than icon visibility.
